Gordan Parks

Gordon Parks was born on Nov 30 1912 Fort Scott, Kansas he grew up in a time where segregation was still popular to use to separate white and black people. However his town couldn't afford a segregated high school so they had to integrate whites and blacks together. His mother died when he was just 14 and he slept next to the coffin that night. He was then sent from relative to relative only to be cast off to the street. He worked at a gentlemen's club until the stock market crash, he caught a train to Chicago where he worked in a flop house. His photography career started off when he became interested in photos of migrant workers and bought his first camera.

Many of Gordons photos are of working people or migrant workers They look expressionless or working when the picture was taken.

These were the pictures I took inspired by Parks photo The Red Couch.

Cannon 3TI review

Nokia released the new Cannon 3TI Rebel only a few days ago and is proves its worth quick despite one or two flaws. The most noticeable up and up for it is that it has great video and image capabilities and quality say's a camera reviewer from reviews.cnet.com.  The only problem is that it won't be able to keep up with sports, kids, or pets it may not be able to keep up with them. The AF can take a while to work when in live mode and the button controls are switched out when entering live mode from conventional mode, coming from a reviewer on www.dpreview.com. All in all its a all rounded camera thats a good for its price that can perform a lot with its range of use, a reviewer from www.photographybay.com said.

Elements of Art

When my group heads out to view the world. We started by looking at the ground and the benches. Then we looked at the walls that surrounded us and how they look like to us as individuals. Lastly we watched the sky and its constant movement, after that we headed back to class.

Trip to the skylight

The first assignment for advance photo is to take pictures of our group in the light of a skylight, from the trip to the skylight with my group its amazing to find how even though I've taken a few pictures, that I never really noticed how the light plays on people and the camera, granted most of my pictures were at night and for other people but this is truly the first time I've really noticed it. With me (despite my position) little light appeared. With Akila some light showed with her hood on but a little more light showed when it was off. Heavenly and her white dress light bounced off her. With Bianca light showed off her.Lastly with Jacinda, her jacket light bounced off.

Compistion,

Composition is often times a term of musical icon such as Mozart or Beethoven. What people don't know is that there is photo composition as well. These composers of photos put images that touch our hearts and make us feel one or more emotions.  Photographers for organizations like National Geographic always take photos that can make us feel relaxed, sad or other emotions within their photos.  Other organizations that require photographers are photo magazines like Professional Photographers, they show how pros take pictures to other photographers. Other big time photographers use composition to bring life to a still picture photographers, much like Ben Thomson dose in his .

For my first pic I went for the comic as it would add cool effects with out                                                obscuring the photo itself.
Then I went for pop art as it would give for different color variations in one                                            picture.
Next was mirror because...well just for the hell of it really , turned out better                                            than I imagined.
Sepia was next and I wanted a more older look to the photo.
Lastly was X-ray,I really wanted to see how it would play out if I used it.
